MAHO RASOP FESTIVAL BANGKOK FEATURING YOUNG MARCO, THAIBOY DIGITAL & BREAKBOT
Independent Thai music festival Maho Rasop returns to the vibrant city of Bangkok with a two-day celebration in early December.
The festival’s name comes from the traditional Thai word for a “festive celebration” (มหรสพ).
Created by three renowned concert promoters — HAVE YOU HEARD?, Seen Scene Space, and Fungjai — this festival stands out for its eclectic and high-quality live performances, pushing the boundaries of Thailand's independent music scene with fans coming from all over the globe.
The 2023 edition presents a stellar line-up of international talents from all sorts of genres such as French house producer Breakbot, Bristol punk rockers IDLES, Massachusetts post-punk heroes Interpol, lo-fi, indie pop aficionado HOMESHAKE, the genre-blending, high-octane Japanese quartet Atarashii Gakko!, Kamaal Williams’ signature ‘Wu Funk’ sound and more.
The line-up of artists representing Asia is as equally diverse and impressive; Balming Tiger’s innovative fusion of rap, electronic, and experimental music, the heartfelt harmonies of Thailand’s own Numcha, Otoboke Beaver and their energetic punk-rock-garage sound from Kyoto to Thaiboy Digital’s wide spectrum of musical styles — expect to hear anything from hard-hitting 808s to nostalgic 4x4 rave classics.
