SIRENS OF LESBOS - (I DON’T KNOW, I DON’T KNOW, I DON’T KNOW)
As Sirens Of Lesbos build towards their sophomore album, co-produced again by Christo (JID, Earthgang, J. Cole), the group present their second new single, ‘(I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know)’.
Featuring producers Melvyn Buss and Arci Friede’s signature world beat sound, a mellow blend of psychedelic pop, AOR and hip-hop, on ‘(I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know)’co-producers and vocalists Jasmina and Nabyla Serag sweetly lament an unsatisfying relationship. It marks an expansion of the band’s horizons, co-written with Shawn Lee, a multi-instrumentalist and producer who has previously worked with the likes of The Dust Brothers, Jeff Buckley and Tommy Guerrero.
Last year’s debut album ‘SOL’ received critical acclaim from Worldwide FM, BBC Radio 6 Music, Beats 1, KCRW and more, bringing the band to the attention of the international music scene. Artist Ryland Blackinton, formerly of Cobra Starship and The Ivy League, contacted them after hearing ‘How Many Miles’. He co-created the single’s artwork, following recent designs for Chet Faker and Kacy Hill.
Starting work on a live show during lockdown, ‘(I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know)’ marks the band’s first shift toward this new dynamic.
